Where we shelve this film

Japan: cult & supertrash

From Japanese monster classics to absurd genre experiments. A discovery shelf, not a quality verdict.

Splatter & splatstick

Practical effects, grotesque excess and occasional pitch-black slapstick.

Camp & cult comedy

Exaggeration, bizarre ideas and a very particular sense of humour.
